Laundromat FAQ

  • TapWash in West Ridge is a modern, clean laundromat with high-efficiency machines, flexible payment options including coins, laundry card, and app-based payment, free WiFi, and wash and fold service. We also offer laundry pickup and delivery right to your door. We serve West Ridge, Rogers Park, West Rogers Park, Edgewater, Andersonville, Lincoln Square, and surrounding neighborhoods. Proudly serving the community since 1999.

  • We open at 6am and close at 11pm 7 days a week. Our last wash is at 10pm.

  • At TapWash, we have many options to start the washers & dryers:

    Laundry Card – Grab a reloadable card for $1 at the kiosk. You can add funds using cash or a credit/debit card.

    Laundry App– Download our free app on your phone and load funds with cash at the kiosk or directly on your phone with a credit/debit card.

    Quarters – Our machines still take coins, and we have a change machine on site.

  • The last wash starts at 10:00 PM. Please arrive a little earlier to allow time to load and start your machine by then.

  • Our pricing structure kicks off at just $4 for a double load machine and tops out at $11 for our largest 8-Load machines.

    When it comes to drying, it's a flat rate of 12 minutes for each quarter for our standard size and 7 minutes for each quarter for large dryers.

  • No. Every wash includes a pre-wash cycle, and hot water is available at no additional cost.

  • Yes! TapWash offers laundry pickup and delivery service throughout Chicago and surrounding neighborhoods. We pick up your laundry, wash and fold it, and deliver it back to your door. Service starts at $1.50 per pound with a $30 minimum. We serve West Ridge, Rogers Park, West Rogers Park, Edgewater, Andersonville, Lincoln Square, Evanston, Skokie, and surrounding areas.   • Yes! TapWash offers Wash & Fold drop-off service starting at $1.25 per pound with a $12.50 minimum. Drop off your laundry and we'll have it cleaned, folded, and ready for pickup within 24 hours.
